Children’s Pastor or Children’s Pastoral Intern
(Part Time 20-25 hrs.)

Logos Baptist Church (Mississauga) is a dynamic tri-congregational (Cantonese, English and Mandarin) church with a 30-year history and combined attendance of 350+. We are looking for a Pastor or Pastoral Intern for our children's ministry. Ability to speak Cantonese or Mandarin (while an asset) is not required.

We have a wonderful group of children who we desire to see spiritually nurtured and instructed in the way of the Lord. Do you have a passion for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and a love for children? If so, please consider applying.

Responsibilities:

  • Report to / serve under the supervision of the Senior Pastor

  • Create dynamic and engaging environments for the spiritual growth and learning of children from Gr. 1-7 during Sunday services and special events

  • Recruit, train and develop volunteers and leaders who demonstrate an aptitude for involvement with children

  • Select, execute and evaluate the Sunday school curricula

  • Equip and provide support for parents to help them spiritually nurture their children

Qualifications

  • It is absolutely essential that you have a passion to love and care for children and truly feel called to serve in this capacity. (We do not see children's ministry as a stepping stone but rather as a high calling in and of itself.)

  • Must be a mature believer (spiritually) who lives above reproach and models integrity and character

  • Able to communicate the intricacies of God's word in an age-appropriate manner and be willing to serve in a tri-congregational context

  • Ability to provide resources and support/ guidance to parents/ guardians on relevant issues

  • Have a vibrant and disciplined spiritual life

  • Must have at least a Bachelor's of Theology or equivalent and / or currently pursuing it

  • While an M.Div. in Children's Education or related programs is an asset, it is not mandatory

If you feel this might be where the Lord is leading you, we would love to connect with you.
